CONVEYOR CHAIN
The conveyor chain, like transmission chain, consists of a series of journal bearings held in precise relationship to each other by constraining link plates.
Factors to consider when selecting a conveyor chain:
- Working load
- Chain speed
- Pitch requirement
- Type and spacing of attachment
- Chain length
- Lubrication
- Environmental issues (such as dirt, temperature extremes, chemicals, contamination, hygiene requirements etc.)
- Required chain ‘through-life’
